Cauliflower pizza

Cauliflower pizza base lower carbohydrate and calories than traditional pizza

Ingredients                                         Method

Pizza base

  • 500g cauliflower rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder


  • 2 tbsps tomato paste
  • 20g red onion
  • 40g red pepper
  • 20g spinach
  • 75g bacon pieces
  • 100g cooked chicken
  • 50g grated cheese


  1. Place the cauliflower rice in a bowl and microwave – 2 and a half minutes from fresh. 5 minutes from frozen
  2. Leave to cool 
  3. Place the cooled cauliflower in a clean tea towel and squeeze out the excess liquid
  4. Place the cauliflower in a bowl with the egg and herbs and mix
  5. Line a pizza tray with baking paper and evenly spread the mixture across the tray
  6. Bake the base for 15 minutes at 200 C
  7. Remove base from the oven and spread the tomato paste evenly over the base
  8. Arrange the rest of the ingredients over the top of the base, finishing with the cheese
  9. Return to the oven and cook for another 10 minutes, or until golden
