Exercise For More Energy
Feeling sluggish? Tired? Fatigued?
Maybe you are considering a nap? Yeah how about a quick nap?
What if I told you a brisk walk would be best for you right at this moment…..
I can appreciate that exercise might be the last thing you are considering when you are feeling tired and fatigued but according to the director of University of Georgia’s exercise psychology laboratory Patrick O’Conner,PHD “if you are physically inactive and fatigued, being just a bit more active may help.
We are currently living at a time where everyone seems to be looking for some quick fix or hack to increase energy, maybe a pill or some sports energy drink to help give you the edge and get you through the day when all you may need is to lace up those training shoes and get active.
In a study, published in Psychological Bulletin, the researchers analysed 70 studies on exercise and fatigue involving more than 6,800 people.
“More than 90% of the studies showed the same thing: Sedentary people who completed a regular exercise program reported improved fatigue compared to groups that did not exercise,” says O’Connor. “It’s a very consistent effect.”
The results show that regular exercise increases energy and reduces fatigue.
