Goan fish curry

Fish cury with plenty of veggies and high protein basa

Ingredients                                         Method

  • 4 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp dried chillis
  • 4 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 4 tsp garlic
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 400g sliced onion
  • 410g tin tomatoes
  • 400ml coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 fresh green chillies
  • 1kg basa cut into pieces
  • 200g green beans
  1. Combine coriander, cumin, dried chillies, ginger, garlic and turmeric in a small bowl
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and cook the onion until golden.
  3. Add the spice mix and cook for 2 minutes
  4. Stir in tomatoes, coconut milk, sugar and fresh chillies and simmer for 5 minutes
  5. Add the fish and the beans and simmer until cooked through
